Community Service Opportunity: Oneblood Blood Drive
OneBlood is the sole blood provider for Atrium Health including Levine Cancer Institute, Levine Children's Hospital (CMN Hospital), and Jeff Gordon Children's Center. Additionally, they are proud to serve other hospital partners throughout the greater North and South Carolina communities. Meaning, this blood is crucial to our local community.
Please join us on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 between 10am & 3pm to save lives! You never know when you or a loved one will need blood, so let’s make sure no one has to worry about supply when the time comes.

On this date we will partner with CHARLOTTE-MECKLENBURG STORM WATER SERVICES to conduct an "extended" cleanup of the Little Sugar Creek stream; as well as picking up litter along the Greenway.

Community Service Opportunity: Second Harvest Food Bank
Join CAHA for an opportunity to volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank. There are only 15 volunteer slots, so please make sure to register ASAP.
The Second Harvest Food Bank requests volunteers each bring 1-2 canned goods to donate, if possible.
Hospitality Olympics 2023 - Taste Test Portion
The Taste Test portion of the Hospitality Olympics will take place separately from the rest of the event, to allow for more time.
1:30pm - 2:20pm, Prep period for those who need to prep a portion onsite
2:30pm, Deadline for dropping off dishes to be judged
2:30pm, Judges taste dishes anonymously and score them
A few things to note:
The winning dessert and winning appetizer will be announced during the Awards Ceremony at the Hospitality Olympics on 8/17.
The submissions will be anonymous, so the judges will not know who submitted them.
The hotel representative dropping off the dishes does not need to be the one who cooked them.
Community Service Opportunity: Kits for a Cause
1 in 2 students in our local area live in poverty. You can help level the educational playing field for these students while participating in a fun corporate team building opportunity in Charlotte. Each kit your company, faith group or community organization creates will enable a child to have the basic tools they need to be successful in school.
As part of your “Kits for a Cause” build event, feel free to include a note of encouragement to students that will be receiving the kits. Click the below button labeled “Notes of Encouragement” and print the second page of the document for easy note making.
CAHA is encouraging members to log what kits they are assembling, to encourage a variety of kits to be created. Please log your kits by clicking the “Kits for a Cause Log” below, which will link to a Google Spreadsheet.
